Here we both are at the border of a musical mess
And now I think the time has come to cross into something brand new
My name is Faustbot, how are you, now let me introduce my friends

The beat is from a drum machine I feed with MIDI triggers
And the bass line here is synthesized from twin oscillators
The sharp rhythms and surf rock leads are guitars played by me
While the stabs and pads and arps and leads are synthesizers

This here is a one man show, I write and perform every note
I mix and master my own work so sorry for the hearing loss
Of function is a side effect, dripping wet with reverb wrecked
Upon delayed and compressed notes while gating out the dross

I write songs about politics, aliens, apocalypse
So strap in, esteemed audience, it's going to get weird
And if you think any of that is crap, well then, you're free to leave

If brevity's the soul of wit, then I'm a fucking dipshit
See, the words don't fit so rip up what won't fit upon the page
